Carroll Chase (17 September 1878 – 11 May 1960)〔''(Background notes on The Roll of Distinguished Philatelists September 2011 )'', Roll of Distinguished Philatelists Trust, London, 2011. (Archived here. )〕 was an internationally recognized philatelic expert who specialized in classic stamps of the United States and France.
